Such a helper

Monkey is such a helper ... always has been. I didn't say he helps me, but in his little head he thinks he is! So, today he helped me take some pictures and load the dishwasher. See if you can figure out what the pictures are of and the problem with the dishwasher. :)

This isn't a hard guess ... lovely pic of The Mommy lol

Monkey is also learning that his bed isn't so bad after all. Maybe not for sleeping in, but we're working on it. Oh, and I also just took the two seconds to reset the date. Again, I promise this wasn't taken eight months before monkey was born!

EARTH HOUR!

If you know me at all, you probably know that I'm a tree-hugger at heart. So, I was surprised that I hadn't heard of Earth Hour and am so happy I happened to open a link on yahoo!

Shut everything off from 8:30-9:30p local time and celebrate Earth hour and a little time in the dark! Here is the article along with some tips and ideas for things to do in the dark!

http://green.yahoo.com/blog/greenpicks/236/flick-your-switch-off-for-earth-hour.html

Someone posted the following as some good Earth Hour ideas (some for adults!)

for people who like eery views: be in a grotto that sports lovely quartzes and stalactites and the like by that time (if you do not even want to use batteries, experience what it is like to be in a strange environment without light, only sound and smell for one hour) - play hide and seek (with, possibly, sexual repercussions) - meditate. Open your window a crack, close your eyes, and listen to the sounds in your body. Then listen to the sounds near you. Then expand what you listen to until you hear the highway ten miles away etc. It is a great way to feel part of the world/your neighborhood vs. lonely

Where to start:

Where does this chair go?

Monkey was chillin' out in his room ...

If he looks a little tired ... it's because I am. I mean, he is.

This is our new favorite thing ....

Wazoos

We went to the inflatable park today with a friend and her kids and had a really good time!

Falling down!
Monkey making his way through one of the big ... toys, I guess they are.

The three kiddos ... man it's hard to get three kids to look at you at the same time!

She wanted the ball and took him DOWN with a choke hold! He returned the favor a little later, but I didn't get my camera quick enough!

Partners in crime.

Monkey went on this big slide last time, but he went down with the other mom I was with. This time he was perfectly fine doing it on his own!

Don't be jealous!

We did some of our outside gardening today. It was quite warm out, but, I know that I'm gambling with the weather. Last year I did some of my gardening around this week and we had a few frosts before summer really hit. Two years ago we had snow in late April, so I could be completely wasting my time, but we'll see!
I have been looking forward to having a little help from my sidekick. I think that this year was still a bit early, but it was definitely different than last year's experience! I didn't tie him to a chair last year, but I'm sure I wanted to!!

He has this new thing with chasing bags lately; his substitue for balloons, I believe!

All of that work makes a kiddo thirsty!

Chillaxin'

Not much going on here. Trying to get used to cleaning these new floors (pics coming soon) and doing a lot of painting. Also joined a gym ... hooray for gym childcare so I can take a shower alone LOL

Now if I could just figure out how to change the date on my pictures! I promise I didn't take these two pictures 8 months before my kiddo was born!!!!

Thoughts on the hot pink bean bag?!

There is a song on one of the Jack's Big Music Show dvd's by Laurie Bergner where she sings about Boots. We love that song! And, we love Dora. A lot.
